About the Registered Dietitian
Annie is a registered dietitian based in North Jersey. She supports clients going through recovery from eating disorders or disordered eating, and folks looking to better their quality of life through nutrition. Within the nutrition field she has worked in diverse areas, including outpatient eating disorder treatment (PHP, IOP, outpatient), acute inpatient hospital settings, general outpatient nutrition services, and dietary services for both hospitals and eating disorder treatment programs.
Annie looks forward to connecting with new clients through Iris Nutrition.
The Approach
1. Evidence-Based Nutrition Education
Nutrition misinformation is abundant, presenting challenges to individuals going through eating disorder recovery or looking to improve their well-being. At Iris Nutrition, we aim to provide evidence-based education tailored to your nutritional needs.
2. Behavior-focused vs. Weight-focused
Iris Nutrition views clients as more than their weight. While weight restoration is medically necessary for many clients with eating disorders, helping clients to develop sustainable health-promoting behaviors is our primary objective.
3. Autonomy and Accountability
We recognize clients’ rights to autonomy and control over their health care, and we invite clients to share their goals of treatment. Your registered dietitian can be the source of accountability you need in your recovery or health journey.
